Local Projects Honored with CLIDE Awards!

Nine projects in North Central Texas were honored with Leadership Awards in the first-ever Celebrating Leadership in Development Excellence (CLIDE) Awards Program. Of those projects, three received Landmark, or "Best of Category," Awards at the North Central Texas Council of Governments General Assembly on June 6, 2003.

Close to 50 applications were received for CLIDE Awards. Of those, a prestigious jury identified nine projects to receive Leadership Awards. Leadership Awards are given to projects that exemplify one or more of the "10 Principles of Development Excellence" and serve as examples of quality development practices in North Central Texas. From those projects, the jury unanimously selected three projects for the highest honor, the Landmark Award.

The CLIDE Awards Program was established in 2003 by the Center of Development Excellence to celebrate regional excellence.

The Development Excellence Steering Committee thanks all those who submitted applications. Learn about the winners and see more photographs in the CLIDE 2003 Brochure.
