CLIDE Awards Program

2009 CLIDE Awards

The application period for the 2009 CLIDE Awards has ended. The Awards Jury will convene in April to consider each application and select 2009 CLIDE recipients.  Recipients were notified of their selection in May 2009.  Awards were presented on June 12, 2009 at the North Central Texas Council of Governments' General Assembly.

Begun in 2003, the biannual CLIDE Awards Program celebrates regional excellence by recognize individuals and entities that are helping to ensure the region's sustainability into the future. It does this by honoring projects and practices that promote the Center of Development Excellence's Ten Principles of Development Excellence.

NCTCOG received 35 applications and honored nine projects with awards during the last awards cycle, which took place in 2009.

CLIDE Award categories for 2009 were:

  • New Development
  • Redevelopment
  • Special Development
  • Public Policy and Planning
  • Raising Public Awareness

"Special Development" is a category for smaller scale projects that exemplify selected Principles of Development Excellence.  More information, including specific eligibility requirements for each category, is available here.
