City of Southlake - Downtown District Design Guidelines
| Summary:
Southlake's downtown is intended to be the focal point of the city and to embody the traditions of American small-town downtowns. To achieve this, the Downtown Design Guidelines were established as part of the development standards adopted for the Downtown Zoning District. The guidelines are not intended to establish any particular architectural design theme, but rather provide flexible development guidelines for site design, the design of buildings and streetscapes, material selections, exterior lighting and signage design. The key design principles establish essential goals for development in the Downtown District to ensure the preservation, sustainability, and visual quality of this unique environment. |
