City of Denton - Zoning
| Summary: Constructed on a platform of density-based/mixed-use districts, Denton’s zoning ordinance replaced a thirty-year old Euclidian system. Districts are organized based on land use types within the city. These land use types are oriented towards a balance of neighborhoods and urban centers. Setbacks and density standards, coupled with site design standards provide protection for existing neighborhoods while allowing flexibility of design promotion of diversity of housing and commercial properties within centers. |
