Acres of Parkland per 1,000 Residents

As the region grows, maintaining a proper amount of parkland per resident is important. Across all North Central Texas cities that the Trust for Public Land’s Park Report monitors, there is a recurring theme of parkland per resident slowly decreasing as the area’s population grows. Parkland offers many benefits to the residents of cities such as health and wellbeing, but also helps the economy by encouraging spending on recreational equipment, and lastly, helps both air and water qualities.
