Population of the North Texas Region Over Time

As of 2020, the NCTCOG region’s population was approximately 7.5 million. NCTCOG estimates that the population could reach 12 million by 2040. With the region being one of the fastest growing areas in the United States, planning for growth is essential to properly manage the region’s resources.
